The Rotorua Musical Theatre presents their next stage show FIRST DATE with a season that runs from Friday 5 July until Saturday 20 July.

Set in present-day Manhattan, First Date is a one-act musical comedy about Aaron and Casey who are navigating a blind date while grappling with their personal quirks, past relationships, and insecurities. Along the way, various characters – including imaginary friends and ex-partners – offer them advice to help Aaron and Casey believe in love, connection, and the unpredictability of romance in the modern age. With a contemporary rock score, First Date gleefully pokes fun at the mishaps and mistakes of blind dates and gives hope that there could be that one perfect moment and something that could last.
