Kodi was clearly ecstatic with the result, saying on stage: "I feel so amazing! Heck, yeah! I'm a winner."
Afterwards, AGT judge Simon Cowell praised Kodi on his win.
"Everybody rooted for him and he’s probably one of the most popular winners we’ve had on one of these shows," Simon said, according to USA Today. "He’s got an amazing talent … The guy’s just an absolute star. He’s one of those contestants you’re going to remember. You’ll always remember that first audition."
For his final performance on the show, Kodi performed an emotional rendition of You Are The Reason by Calum Scott. He was also accompanied by British singer Leona Lewis who lent some stunning harmonies to the song.
Congratulations Kodi!
