Spice Girls’ song Wannabe has just been REMIXED and it actually sounds amazing!
We absolutely love the hit 90s song Wannabe by the Spice Girls!Â
Now the iconic track has had new life breathed into it by Herve Pagez, Diplo and pop singer Charli XCX in a remix that is actually really cool!
The new song – which is called Spicy - has a futuristic twist, with acoustic guitar and even a little dancehall style mixed in.
And it seems the actual Spice Girls - Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner (Halliwell), and Victoria Beckham - gave the remix their seal of approval.
"It’s a fun record I did a while ago, it’s actually a mix of the Spice Girls," American DJ Diplo told Ryan Seacrest during a radio interview. "I did it a while ago and it took forever to get all the Spice Girls to clear it, it took literally a year."
Diplo – who is known for his collaborations with artists such as Sia, Justin Bieber, Mark Ronson – explained that he mixed the track "for fun" as one of the songs he would play during his DJ sets.
"It was like a cool little vibe I was playing, like an edit with the real Spice Girls on it and then we had Charlie [XCX] cut it, just for fun."

Meanwhile, the real Spice Girls are currently on their Spice World Tour, performing live across the UK and new rumours indicate that dates for down under will be announced soon ... Fingers crossed they come to New Zealand!
