Netflix unveils creepy new TV series Dirty John based on terrifying true crime story

It’s a chilling true crime story that took the world by storm in podcast form, and now Dirty John has been turned into a TV series.

Netflix unveiled the creepy first trailer for the show – which will be available to watch on the streaming platform in New Zealand from Valentine’s Day – starring Connie Britton and Eric Bana.

Dirty John focuses on Debra Newell who falls head over heels for the charismatic Dr John Meehan after meeting him online.

But things aren’t what they seem and things quickly turn scary as his world of lies, and psychological manipulations bubble to the surface.

And the most terrifying part is that it is all based on a real-life story.
