Disney just dropped the first trailer for The Lion King remake and we can't believe our eyes

Disney has just dropped the first teaser trailer for the live action version of The Lion King and it has blown us away.

The clip shows the iconic moment baby Simba gets his birthmark blessing from Rafiki the baboon while the Circle of Life plays in the background.

Later it shows a grown-up Simba roaring.

Directed by Jon Favreau, the upcoming film features a star-studded cast of Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Billy Eichner, John Oliver, Keegan-Michael Key, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and James Earl Jones - who voiced Mufasa in the original 1994 animated classic.

The Lion King is set for release mid next year and we cannot wait to see it!
