Why Are Some Of Us More Prone To Mosquito Bites?

In previous studies, it was found that mosquitoes would take a liking to you if:
- you were overweight (you produce more CO2)
- you were a beer drinker
- you’re pregnant
But studies have found that that isn’t actually the case at all. In fact, it’s all about your genes and the odour your body releases!Â
Scientists tested this theory by using identical and non-identical twins in order to test nature versus nurture. The result? Both identical twins received similar scores unlike the non-identical twins.
Previously, it was believed that the prevalence of the annoying insect had to do with geographical location, but it turns out – it’s to do with the bacteria that flourishes inside of us.
