Watch the stunning moment a gibbon ape swings over a family walking on a rope bridge
One family has had a special up-close encounter with a gibbon ape – emphasis on CLOSE.
Lisa Bosman and her family were visiting South Africa’s Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary where they were walking over a skinny rope bridge when they spotted a gibbon – a grey furry creature from the ape family – blocking their way.
In fact, the gibbon was swinging full steam towards the Bosmans with both arms stretched across the bridge, forcing the family to duck for cover.
Luckily the gibbon was completely unphased and simply lifted its legs up slightly to avoid a collision.
Lisa can even be heard in the video telling her family, including two young daughters, to “duck” as the gibbon passes overhead.
It’s definitely a moment the family won’t forget, and the whole experience was even caught on camera so we can all enjoy it too!
