The trailer for third season of Netflix's 'Virgin River' starring Kiwi actor has us swooning
If you haven’t started watching Netflix’s swoon-worthy series Virgin River yet – you’re missing out!
The romantic drama – based on the best-selling book series by Robyn Carter - is coming back for its third season and we can't wait to dive in!
The show stars New Zealand’s own heartthrob, Martin Henderson, who you may recognise from Shortland Street, Bride and Prejudice, and of course, Grey’s Anatomy.
For those who don't know Virgin River follows nurse practitioner Melinda, played by She’s the Man actress Alexandra Breckenridge, who moves from LA to the small town of Virgin River to escape her painful past.
There she meets the charming Jack (Henderson), the owner of the local bar, and a former Marine. However, Mel’s transition to small-town living doesn’t go as smoothly as she expected and it’s not long until drama - and romance - ensues.
The third season picks up right where season two ended and it's sure to delve into even more drama.
"Mel Monroe and her loved ones are back and facing all sorts of troubles: death, a fire, custody arguments, breakups, and more," Netflix describes the upcoming season
We love it!
Virgin River also stars Vampire Diaries actor Daniel Gillies - who also happens to be a Kiwi - Smallville star Annette O’Toole and The West Wing's Tim Matheson.
The first two seasons of Virgin River are available to stream on Netflix now and the third season is out on July 9.
