It's pretty well known that bus and train seats are always made with HIDEOUS patterns. But it turns out there is a reason for it...
The reason is to hide how dirty they are.
Yes, that pattern is there to distract our eyes from the dirt, grime, and muck that is on/in the seat.
It's not really a surprise considering how many people use them every day but it's still pretty gross!
