Robert Irwin reveals touching tribute to Steve Irwin in his first photography book
Robert Irwin has unveiled his very first photography book, and it includes a special tribute to his father.
At 18 years old, Robert is already an award-winning photographer, capturing stunning scenes from nature.
Now with his first book, Robert Irwin’s Australia, the teen is sharing his work with the world while also having proceeds go towards conservation work.
Alongside the stunning photos inside the book, is a sweet tribute to his famous father Steve Irwin - who passed away when Robert was just a tot - a sweet snap of a baby Robert being taught how to use a camera while sitting on a motorcycle with Steve.
Robert noted on Instagram that photography has given him a special connection to his dad.
"This[book] is the embodiment of countless years of dedication to the art form of imagery as well as my profound passion to continue my father’s important legacy while forging my own path," Robert explained.
"Australian-made and sustainably crafted, this is my first photography book. And I can proudly say, all profits benefit conservation."
Robert’s older sister Bindi Irwin was quick to congratulate her brother on his book, writing: "Congratulations to my incredible brother Robert for creating the most profound photography book.
"With an inspiring foreword from Russell Crowe and years of Robert’s photography, this book is absolutely extraordinary. I’m in awe of Robert’s hard work and dedication, he has poured his heart and soul into this work of art. Prepare to be blown away by his storytelling through the lens."
Robert’s mother Terri Irwin also took to Twitter to share how proud she was of her son’s accomplishment.
"I am so proud of your brilliant photography book, and that all funds from the book will be going towards wildlife conservation," Terri wrote.
