Princess Kate's adorable nickname for her youngest son Prince Louis revealed
The adorable nickname Prince Louis, the youngest son of Prince William and Kate Middleton, has been given by his royal parents has been revealed. Â
Recently Prince Louis participated in his first official royal engagement. The young prince was seen helping out during a Scout group event, which was part of a special bank holiday in honour of King Charles' lifetime of public service. Â
As he wheeled a barrow of dirt, his proud mother, Kate, affectionately called him "Lou Bug." When he tried toasting marshmallows, she encouraged him by saying "Pop that in the fire, Lou Bug."Â

It seems that the Cambridge family has a tradition of using cute and affectionate nicknames for each other. According to Town and Country, Princess Charlotte is known as "Lottie" to her family. Meanwhile, Prince George and Charlotte have a unique nickname for their dad, Prince William. Inspired by British TV chef Ainsley Harriott, they call him "Poachy."Â
Harriott explained in an interview that he had been talking about cooking fish in the bath when William and Kate found it hilarious. Harriott then changed his catchphrase to "Why hello there, Will. Poachy, poachy, poachy," which George and Charlotte found so funny that they started calling their dad "Poachy."Â
It's not just the Cambridge family that has a penchant for nicknames, though. In fact, many members of the royal family have had cute and endearing nicknames throughout history. For example, Queen Elizabeth II was affectionately called "Lilibet" by her family, while Prince Philip called her "Cabbage." Prince Charles is also known as "Taffy" to his family, while Princess Anne goes by "Gat" or "Shrimpy." Even Queen Victoria had a sweet nickname: "Drina."Â
Â
Using nicknames is not uncommon in families, and it's no different for the royals. Nicknames can be a way of showing affection and creating a special bond between family members. It's clear that the Cambridge family has a lot of love for each other, and their use of cute nicknames is just one way of expressing it.Â
As for little Prince Louis, it's heartwarming to see him getting involved in royal duties at such a young age. His proud parents must be thrilled to see him taking an interest in the family's philanthropic endeavours. And as he grows up, it's likely that he will acquire more cute nicknames from his family, adding to the royal family's long tradition of affectionate monikers.Â
