People are only just now realising what *NSYNC stands for after 29 years
How well do you really know *NSYNC?
In 1995, Chris Kirkpatrick, Justin Timberlake, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, and JC Chasez formed what would later be known as one of the world's most prominent boy bands of the late 90s and early 2000s.
According to The Mirror, despite amassing millions of fans over the course of the last 29 years, some people are just discovering what the letters in *NSYNC actually stand for.
It all started back in 1995 when 14-year-old Timberlake's mother would listen to the group sing together.
She often commented on how "in sync" their voices sounded as they delivered unmatched harmonies that went on to fuel 2000's Guinness World Record-holding album No Strings Attached featuring hits like "Bye Bye Bye," "Its Gonna Be Me," and other catchy tracks that remain popular to this day.
But that's not all! *NSYNC also spells out the last letter of each original bandmate's first name (JasoN, ChriS, JoeY, JustiN, and JC).
Now, if you are not an *NSYNC super fan, you might be asking yourself, "Who is Jason?"
Well, when the boys first got the idea to form the band, Orlando native Jason Galasso played bass.
He rehearsed with the band for a few months before deciding that he didn't like the direction of their music and dropped out.
Galasso was replaced with Lance Bass (nicknamed "Lanceton" so the band could keep their original name) that same year and the rest was history!
