Original cast of 'Hamilton' perform special rendition of 'Helpless' with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots

The original cast of Hamilton has reunited once more for a very special performance.

Joined by Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon and The Roots, Lin-Manuel Miranda and the rest of the cast performed a socially distant rendition of the song Helpless from the award-winning Broadway musical using household objects as instruments.

The performance was a part of the Global Goal: Unite for Our Future concert special and saw Phillipa Soo take the lead singing as Eliza Schuyler Hamilton for the romantic ditty.

This comes after it was announced that a recording of Hamilton - from inside The Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway - will air on Disney+. The news sent theatre fans into a frenzy, with many sharing their excitement on social media.

"I cannot wait," one person wrote on Twitter, while another added: "This is amazing!"

Hamilton is set to debut on the streaming service on July 3.
