A mother has hit back at the talent agency that rejected her Down's syndrome son from a kid's clothing advert.

Georgia resident Maegan Richter Nash posted her thoughts to Facebook surrounding the rejection of her 15 month old son, Asher.

The full caption read: 'We aren't giving up. This handsome boy is ready to show the world what #changingthefaceofbeauty is. We would love to model for OshKosh B'gosh' and has gained over 120,000 shares.

Another Facebook post by a page dedicated to Down's Syndrome children, has also attracted a lot of attention:

Clothing shop OshKosh B'gosh is now renegotiating the deal with Meagan.

She had submitted photos of Asher to the agency who had put out an open casting call, only to be told they hadn't "requested a special needs baby."

Meagan told WXIA that her son's size, eye and hair colour matched the requirements made in the call and that Asher wears OshKosh B'gosh clobber "every day."

She told The Mighty "I don't want them to use him because of this fuss we are making on the Internet. I want them to use him because they value him and see how much he could contribute to their advertisement.

"Children with Down's syndrome and other disabilities are incredible human beings, and we want OshKosh to want to help change the world's perception."
