Kiwi brewers Good George create a tasty Hot Cross Bun gin just in time for Easter

Honestly, who doesn’t love a warm Hot Cross Bun? 

Well, there is one Kiwi company that has taken the tasty Easter treat to the next level! 

Introducing the Hot Cross Gin! 

Good George has teamed up with Hot Cross Bun experts Volare to create a scrumptious gin that channels all the best parts of a Hot Cross Bun in liquid form. 

The Hot Cross Gin features notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger, Good George suggests that this gin can be enjoyed in a cocktail, but will also pair nicely with ginger beer or cola. 

The 700ml bottles are available for $69.  

Good George has also concocted the perfect recipe to enjoy their special gin this Easter. 

Good George’s Apple Crossed Martini

• 350mL Good George Extra Dry Apple Cider 
• 60mL Hot Cross Gin 
• 1 stick of cinnamon 
• Dash of nutmeg 
• 1 ½ teaspoons of lemon juice 
• ½ an apple sliced 
 
Add cider, lemon juice, nutmeg, cinnamon and apple slices to a saucepan over a high heat. Heat until warm and fragrant, then remove from heat and add to a tall glass with Hot Crossed Gin and lemon slices.
