Iconic 90s boyband *NSYNC reunite for the first time in 10 years at MTV VMAs
In a heartwarming and long-awaited reunion, the iconic boy band *NSYNC, graced the stage together at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.
The event marked the first collective appearance of members Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, and Chris Kirkpatrick, in a decade, since their last performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.
With overwhelming cheers from fans, Joey Fatone expressed their gratitude, saying, "We just wanted to say, thank you MTV and especially all of you guys.”
“Thank you so much, each and every one of you, for always supporting your favourite music artists!”
The legendary group presented the Best Pop award to none other than the unstoppable Taylor Swift for her captivating music video, Anti-Hero.
The emotional reunion left Swift visibly stunned, and she warmly embraced each member of *NSYNC, receiving a special friendship bracelet from Lance Bass.
Swift, clearly excited, reminisced, “I had your dolls!”
“You’re pop personified,” she added. “So to receive this from your golden pop hands is really too much!”
In 2013, Justin Timberlake was honoured with the Video Vanguard Award at the MTV VMAs, delivering a memorable 12-song medley performance alongside his *NSYNC comrades, performing hits like "Bye Bye Bye" and "Girlfriend."
The group has since reconnected in 2018 to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and made a surprise appearance during Ariana Grande's Coachella headlining set in 2019, without Timberlake.
*NSYNC, renowned for hits like Bye Bye Bye, It's Gonna Be Me, Girlfriend, and I Want You Back, hasn't released a studio album since 2001's chart-topping "Celebrity."
