First look trailer for brand new 'Avatar' movie is here and it looks absolutely epic

In 2009, James Cameron’s Avatar hit cinema screens and blew everyone away.

Now more than a decade later, the highly anticipated sequel is finally upon us!

The very first look trailer at the brand new Avatar: The Way of Water movie is here, and boy does it look epic!

Avatar: The Way of Water begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive,  and the tragedies they endure. 

Directed by James Cameron and produced by Cameron and Jon Landau, the film stars Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement and Kate Winslet. 

Avatar: The Way of Water is set to hit Kiwi movie theatres on December 15.

Ahead of the new movie’s release, Avatar will be re-released in cinemas across the country on September 22.

The original Avatar movie became the highest-grossing movie of all time, so we’re sure fans will see big things from this new sequel.
