If you purchased any Indoor/Outdoor 240 LED Seed Lights in warm white from Farmers, you need to stop using them - immediately!

The department chain has issued a recall for the lights after it was revealed the product isn't up to standard and there may be an issue with safety.

According to the recall, the insulation sleeve at the junction of the power cable to the lighting string may be compromised by the heat caused from resistance, which may cause melting and smouldering.

The lights were sold across New Zealand after September 2018.

The affected model number is FFST240WW.

Customers have been advised to return the lights to your closest Farmers store.
