A determined doggy got her head stuck in a cat flap while making a hurried beeline for another dog in an amorous encounter fail.

Keeta, a five-year-old American bulldog currently in season, darted toward the flap after spotting a male dog in her owners' garden in Leicester.

However, she hadn't quite judged things right - and ended up getting her head stuck in the plastic flap, designed for cats.

Determined to get her 'man', Keeta used brute force to tear the flap off her owners' back door and was left modelling a plastic necklace.

Keeta's owner, Nigel Page, found the two dogs together in the kitchen and told the BBC: "We don't know whether they've done anything or not.

"The other dog was smaller, a little terrier, but you don't know,

"She had that thing stuck on her head so she might not have been in a good mood.

"I opened the back door and the other dog legged it."

Firefighters were called at around 7.20am on Saturday November 14.

They spent around 20 minutes cutting Keeta free.

That is some serious determination!
