Chris Hemsworth strips completely nude thanks to Russell Crowe in new 'Thor' trailer

Chris Hemsworth has stripped off completely in Thor: Love and Thunder - and it's all Russell Crowe's fault.

The brand new official trailer for the highly anticipated Marvel movie shows the Australian actor having his clothes blown off by Crowe - playing the part of Zeus - who "flicks" Thor's disguise off.

"You flicked too hard, damn it!" Thor yells while standing completely naked in front of a grand hall of people, many of whom faint at the sight of his nudity.

"Should we help him?" asks Natalie Portman's character Jane Foster - Thor's ex-girlfriend - who has inexplicably become the Mighty Thor, able to wield the magical hammer, Mjolnir. 

"Eventually," King Valkyrie - played by Tessa Thompson - replies before offering Jane a grape.

The trailer also gives Marvel fans their first look at Christian Bale as the movie's big bad, Gorr the God Butcher, who seeks the extinction of the gods ... which isn't such great news for Thor, the God of Thunder!

Kiwi Taika Waititi - the director of the flick - can also be heard narrating at the beginning of the trailer in the voice of his rock-based character Korg.

The teaser clip comes after fans went wild over photos of Portman in her upgraded role, looking particularly buff.

Fans won’t have to wait too much longer to see the movie, with Thor: Love and Thunder set to hit cinemas around New Zealand on July 7, 2022. We can’t wait!
