A boy with autism has received thousands of birthday cards from around the world after his mother made an appeal online last month.
Ollie Jones celebrated his 15th birthday on the weekend, but mother Karen Jones asked her local community in Plymouth, England to help out with cards after she noticed he had written some for himself.
“He loves opening cards to [the] extent he’s made himself a couple,” she wrote in a post to her local community Facebook page:

By the time it was Ollie's birthday, four days after the post, he had received thousands of cards from strangers around the world!
Speaking with ABC news, Ollie's Mother revealed:
"[He] tried to open cards to make room for more but hardly made a dent!"
She said Ollie was feeling "famous" after receiving all the cards.
Last week, his Mother revealed on Facebook that the card count was up to 18,212!
Happy birthday, Ollie! xx
