Ana de Armas stuns as Marilyn Monroe in first-look teaser for Netflix's new movie 'Blonde'

The very first teaser for the upcoming Marilyn Monroe has been unveiled and the star playing the iconic actress looks just like her!

Fans have now gotten their very first glimpse at Ana de Armas as Marilyn in Netflix’s highly anticipated movie Blonde and she seems to fit the role so well.

The 34-year-old Cuban actress, who is best known for her roles in No Time To Die and Knives Out, says she felt "so proud" to be transformed into Marilyn and that she even got emotional wearing her iconic platinum blonde hairstyle for the first time.

"I think I actually cried the first time I saw [the wigs] on. Probably because I was terrified. But I'm so proud,” she told Byrdie.

"She went through a lot of things that were not easy at the time—it would not even be easy right now. I was lucky I had months to prepare. We don't usually have that luxury—we usually have to rush into the project and make it as you go, but that one I really had the time to study," she added. "There's so much material about her, like so much to watch and listen to. It's incredible."

Marilyn Monroe captured the hearts of everyone in the late 50s and early 60s as an all-American actress, singer and model, now this new film is set to reimagine her complicated life.

Directed by Andrew Dominik and based on the bestselling novel by Joyce Carol Oates, Blonde is set to blur the lines of fact and fiction and artfully explore the tension between Marilyn’s public and private life.

Blonde hits the streaming service on September 23.
