There's a very good reason Masterchef 2011's winner, Nadia Lim, hasn't been in a kitchen lately. Congratulations are due - she's 17 weeks pregnant!

"I've felt so queasy and for weeks I just couldn't stand any food smells at all," Lim tells this week's edition of Woman's Day in a story that confirms she's expecting her first child with husband Carlos Bagrie.

As one of the co-founders of meal delivery service My Food Bag, Lim's job involves testing recipes that are then included in the product.

But Lim tells WD since she became pregnant, she hasn't had the stomach for food smells.

"My workmates must have wondered what was going on because I'd suddenly disappear whenever there was recipe testing to be done," she says.

"I went for three weeks straight without cooking anything at all. It was quite bizarre."

The cookbook author and healthy food advocate also admits to a few pregnancy binges - including 19 oranges in one sitting, and a quick trip to fast food outlet Burger Fuel.

"It was very unlike me," she says.
