Sometimes live TV can go wrong, and Michael Bolton learned this the hard way.

While appearing on Aussie's The Morning Show from Florida, his stream was plagued by technical difficulties which led to a few misunderstandings before things finally kicked off.

When Michael's feed started to work properly, Michael wasn't quite ready, and he wasn't subtle about it.

While some fans tried to defend Michael's actions, the majority of the internet poked fun at his mid-interview snooze, but the 'When a Man Loves a Woman' singer wasn't going to let the rumours grow.

Michael took to Twitter as soon as he saw the controversy and gave a very mediocre excuse:

"In all seriousness there were technical issues with the live feed and they caught me tweeting!"

Come on Michael, we're not going to believe that one...
