A girl dressed as a hotdog made headlines around the world - and caused one local TV presenter to lose control.

Laura McGoldrick did a "Hilary Barry" today while fronting a NZH Focus bulletin about a young girl who wore a hot dog outfit to a dance class for princesses.

The presenter struggled to compose herself, cracking up constantly and requiring several reshoots to get through the segment.
