After an airbrushed "tattoo" on a five-year-old Tauranga boy has become an internet phenomenon, artist Benjamin Lloyd has cheered up a 15 year old boy.

Recently, artist Benjamin Lloyd has been tattooing young children with harmless and non permanent spray to lighten up their lives. After uploading photos to his Facebook page, his work has gone viral.

"I woke up to six million hits. Once it starts to avalanche, things go nuts."

Now he's helped 15-yr-old Brodie Hunter from Tauranga out, who is suffering from a rare genetic disorder (pictured left above).

Brodie Hunter was in Tauranga Hospital undergoing tests for a bowel and intestine transplant when the artist showed up with his airbrush and indian ink.

Mr Lloyd said yesterday that he did not get written approval to visit Tauranga Hospital but got permission from parents. He used non-toxic ink.

Brodie's father Wayne had no hesitation about allowing his son to be tattooed. "Brodie was really stoked."

Lloyd is hoping to get to Starship hospital to tattoo other children.
