Stunning throwback photo shows Robert Irwin looks IDENTICAL to his late father Steve Irwin

It's often not surprising that kids look a lot like their parents.

But Robert Irwin is seriously IDENTICAL to his late father, Steve Irwin!

After interviewing the Irwin family on The Sunday Project, Australian journalist Lisa Wilkinson took to Instagram to share the most heartwarming side by side photo of the 15-year-old and his dad at the same age.

"And if you were thinking tonight just how much Robert Irwin is looking like his late dad Steve Irwin, here's proof. That's Robert on the left, and his dad Steve around the same age on the right. Amazing," Wilkinson captioned the post.

It's been over 12 years since 'The Crocodile Hunter' tragically died, but looking at these photos had us smiling and tearing up at the same time.

The post attracted over 17,000 likes within hours and received many comments from Steve's fans.

One follower wrote: "I swore I was looking at two photos of Robert."

During the interview, Robert told Wilkinson that he still feels a strong connection to Steve.

"I feel closest to Dad when I'm working with the animals that he really loved," he said.

How jaw-dropping is that resemblance?! The likeness is uncanny.
