Her Royal Highness was baptised by the Archbishop of Canterbury in a private service at the Church of St Mary Magdalene in Sandringham overnight NZ time.
It's the first time the family of four have stepped out publicly and together since Charlotte's birth, with the Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Camilla as well as the Middleton family (including Pippa) all in attendance.
There was one member of the Royal Family unable to attend... none other than Prince Harry!Â
Despite the fact he was a favourite to be announced as a Godparent, he's spending the summer travelling in Africa doing conservation and charity work. This was organised long before the christening date was announced.
Charlotte's Godparents were announced including:
- Sophie Carter- a close friend of Kate & Wills
- James Meade- a close friend of Kate & Wills
- Thomas van Straubenzee- a close friend of Kate & Wills
- Adam Middleton-Â Kate's cousin
- Laura Fellowes-Â Princess Diana's niece
According to the British Monarchy Facebook page, "Well-wishers were invited to watch The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, their children and guests arrive at the church. Their Royal Highnesses arranged for flowers from members of the public to be donated to East Anglia Children's Hospices, of which The Duchess is Patron, for families, volunteers and staff to enjoy."
