Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made their first purchase as a couple

Just like the rest of the world, the royals are getting involved with the Christmas spirit.

The couple were spotted looking for trees at Pines and Needles in Battersea Park in London last night.

Zaqia Crawford, the attendant who served the couple had no idea who he was, being an american herself, she got on really well with Markle.

The staff at the store said that the twosome were holding hands while walking around the shop for about 30 mins before Harry picked out a 6 foot tree.

After purchasing the tree for £65 ($82NZD) Harry walked out of the store with the tree under one arm, while holding Meghan's hand with the other.
