We all remember cutie Mara Wilson! She played the cute younger daughter in Mrs. Doubtfire, and she is still cringing about something she told the cast and crew while filming the 1993 movie.

Now at 28 years old she recounts the embarrassing moment in her upcoming memoir Where Am I Now? True Stories of Girlhood and Accidental Fame, saying she’d just been given the “sex talk” by her mother.

The next day, 6-yr-old Mara came on set and couldn't focus on her acting.

“I wasn’t focusing on the scene. I was bubbling with excitement, because I knew this thing, this big open secret, and I could not keep it in any longer."

The child star ended up asking one of the hairdressers on set if she’d ever “done it”.

“As soon as she walked away I announced in a singsong voice, I KNOW ABOUT SE-EX! I KNOW ABOUT SE-EX!’”

“Instantly, I felt humiliated, and worst of all, I knew I had brought it all on myself. I thought I might start crying.”

After Robin Williams told director Chris Columbus what happened, Wilson’s new-found knowledge was worked into the scene where she helps on-screen mum Sally Field get dressed for her birthday party.

“You know, Mara, if you want, you can tell Sally her dress is sexy" said the director.
