MAFS groom facing backlash following split

This week we received the sad news that Married At First Sight couple Simon McQuillan and Alene Khatcherian had split.

But as the news hit fans on social media, they were quick to unleash their anger on Simon, who is reported to be the one responsible for the break-up.

What's made it all that much worse is other reports that Simon has been found on Tinder.

On Simon’s Instagram account, commenters were not shy in letting loose.

"You won't find another Alene Simon, trust me my love ... this is wrong.... u guys r wrong I'm sorry to say this but it's not right," wrote one Instagram user.

Another sarcastic comment was, "Already on Tinder hey? Classy." In a statement the pair said that the split was amicable, saying "It was a difficult decision but we have decided to part ways."
