Katy Perry has slammed the Australian press by saying they have "no integrity, no character" in a tirade of tweets claiming she was stalked when she strolled on a beach in Sydney.
The singer, who is in Australia on her Prismatic World Tour, playing around the country until mid December, was allegedly confronted by three photographers while she was at Obelisk beach, a harbour spot in Sydney’s Mosman.
Perry singled out the notorious photographer Jamie Fawcett, who has had previous run-ins with celebrities, including Nicole Kidman and former Spice Girl Mel B.
She said: "I was stalked by many grown men today as I tried to take a quiet walk to the beach. These men would not stop as I pleaded over & over to let me have my space. Many other people stopped to try to help but the paps continued to laugh at me & hold their barrels up and shoot. (sic)"
Lashing out in a further tweet, she posted images of the paparazzi from the incident with the caption, "THESE ARE A FEW OF THE STALKERS:(sic)"
Thankfully, the intimidating incident didn't stop the 30-year-old superstar from taking to the stage at Sydney's Allphones Arena, where she performed a selection of her hits to 60,000 fans.
