It has been 15 years since we were first introduced to Shane West when he was cast as Landon Carter in Nicholas Sparks' A Walk to Remember.

The heartthrob played the bad boy-turned-good who fell in love with a girl battling leukemia - and even after all these years our hearts still burst at the thought of the film.

Sigh, is anyone else tearing up again?

Fast forward 15 years, we can't help but wonder what he's up to now...

Still super dreamy, the now 39-year-old changed his focus to TV roles and making music.

Since making the movie he starred on ER for five seasons, then went on to play the lead role in Nikita.

He was also the lead singer of punk rock band Jonny Was for "seven or eight years".

He is currently playing John Alden on Salem.
