Gemma McCaw shows off first photo of proud dad Richie McCaw with baby daughter

The McCaws have given us our first look at their newborn daughter, Charlotte Rose!

Taking to Instagram, former Black Sticks star Gemma McCaw shared a photo of her husband Richie McCaw holding his daughter - and she looks absolutely precious!

The 38-year-old proud dad is all smiles as they're pictured sitting together in front of a Christmas tree.

"Happy new year from our family to yours - 2018 was a very special year for us with the safe arrival of our beautiful baby girl. Wishing everyone an abundance of health and happiness for the year ahead," Gemma wrote alongside the photo.

A second photo shows the young family in a different pose - now with mum holding their little girl as she gives Charlotte a tender kiss.

The McCaws announced the birth of their first child early last month.

"We are excited to announce the arrival of our daughter, Charlotte Rose McCaw," Gemma posted on social media.

"Thank you for the love and blessings we have received, our hearts are so full."

In the same style, the couple posted a photo of a tiny pair of adidas running shoes between a men's and women's pair to announce they were expecting, writing: "Rich and I are very excited to announce that we are expecting our first baby later this year."

Gemma, a former Black Sticks star, and Richie were married in January 2017 and the child is their first.
