Chelsea Winter’s X-rated vegetable

MasterChef winner Chelsea Winter has made a name for herself as a wholesome Kiwi cook. But a recent post on her Instagram account suggests she’s dipping into Nigella Lawson territory.

Posting a photo of an undeniably phallic carrot to her 43,000 followers, Winter’s latest Instagram has been met with nearly 300 comments, including one that concurs it is “A very diddly looking carrot.”

I'm probably pushing the boundaries with this post. But to be fair, it is just a carrot.

Chelsea's fans saw the funny side, with one saying: "You keep pushing those boundaries girl ... love your style".

The image is in stark contrast to the five-time cook book writer’s previous posts of serene vistas, farm animals and, of course, food.

So is her X-rated vegetable a sign we’re going to start seeing a different side to Winter?
