Ariana Grande has called off her engagement to fiance Pete Davidson

Pop star Ariana Grande has called off her engagement to comedian Pete Davidson.

According to TMZ, the couple made the split over the weekend.

The pair - who were engaged for just four months - have reportedly "acknowledged" that it "wasn’t the right time for them".

Sources also told the gossip website that Ariana and Pete "still have love for each other, but things are over romantically".

Another source told The Blast that the reason behind the split was that Ariana "needs time to 'work on herself'".

The couple confirmed their engagement news in June this year, after dating for a number of weeks. The 25-year-old singer was given a large pear-shaped diamond engagement ring, by the Saturday Night Live star worth $100,000.
