Try it Out Tuesday - Apple icy pops for the pups

This recipe came up on my Facebook feed and I thought it would be a good one to try, especially as how hot it's been. My pups always keen on snacks, my baby's always keen to give him snacks (she's discovered Hogan's food drawer and it's hard to explain to a baby he doesn't need a treat every five minutes!)
Could be a good one to try out for your pups/bubs? Maybe even get the kids to make themselves?
Easy, healthy, cold. I'm kinda into them myself haha!
Apple icy pops - You'll need
1 Apple
1 Cup natural or greek yoghurt
1 teaspoon or so of grated fresh ginger
1 teaspoon of honey
You can also add cinnamon, I opted out on that one for our boy.
Now to create the icy pops/blocks
Cut up the apples
Finely grate the ginger
Add the honey and yoghurt
Blitz/blend up in your food processor or blender (whichever you have)
If you don't have either of those things I have also seen this done where you just grate the apple or cut it thinner, mix all ingredients and freeze like that. Just makes it a chunky consistency, which I don't think dogs would mind.
Put into ice cube tray or silicone tray
Freeze - I left mine over night
Get them out of freezer once frozen, I left them for a minute or so to soften around the edges. Tip out, give to pup and/or bub!
Keep rest in a container or freezer bag.
Easy! Good one
