MURU Director Tearepa Kahi joins Estelle to share the passion and personal connection behind this project

Officially in cinemas across the country today, MURU, inspired by actual events, is the powerful story of a local Police Sergeant ‘Taffy’ Tāwharau who recently returned home to the remote Ruatoki valley to look after his sick father.

Writer/Director Tearepa Kahi joined Estelle to share how he wrangled kids, animals and an incredibly talented cast to tell this emotional story.
