Estelle speaks with Jonty Mills CEO of Water Safety NZ

Jonty Mills, CEO of Water Safety NZ, joined Estelle on the Night Show to give clarity around being out on our waters around New Zealand during our fight against covid19 in this lockdown period.

As kiwis we can have a bit of a mindset of 'oh that won't happen to me' when it comes to emergencies.

But you really never know and with most first responders being volunteers, you take the risk of having to get them out of their bubble which in turn goes against our fight of limiting social contact and the possible spread of covid19.

We want our emergency services and health care workers to be available as much as possible for those at highest risk.
