Hawke's Bay Toddler Dies

The 2½-year-old boy who was assaulted in his Hastings home earlier this week has died.
The boy died last evening in the intensive care unit at Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
A 17-year-old Rotorua youth has been charged with assaulting a child.
He appeared in the Hastings District Court on Tuesday.
He was remanded on bail to reappear in court on November 3 and was granted interim name suppression.
