'Avozillas' are apparently a thing! But would you try one?

Avocados – the green expensive fruit that we all love on a bit of toast.

It turns out they have a big brother … and when we say big, we mean BIG.

The Avozilla – which grows to be five times the size of a regular avocado - is found in South Africa but recently it’s made its way to Australia, where a Queensland farmer is growing them.

The gigantic 1.8kg fruit - goes for around $15, and with the recent outrage over the price of a regular avo, that works out to be quite a bargain!

Sarah and Sam debated whether or not someone would NEED an avo that large … but we’re sure for the true avocado lover the answer would be a resounding YES!
