Thomas Markle Jr tells Jono and Ben he's 'disgusted' by Meghan Markle's comments in doco

Thomas Markle Jr says he’s "disgusted" by some of the comments his half-sister Meghan Markle made in her Netflix docuseries.

He caught up with Jono and Ben following the release of the show’s final episodes and he did not hold back from sharing his honest opinions.

When it came to Meghan opening up about why she chose King Charles to give her away on her wedding day, Thomas says he feels "pretty disgusted" by what she said, especially as his father Thomas Markle Snr was "in the hospital with a heart attack" at the time.

The former Suits actress - who married Prince Harry in 2018 - was unable to be accompanied by her own father Thomas Markle after he suffered a heart attack and couldn't travel to the UK, so asked her future father-in-law to be by her side.

Speaking in the fourth episode of her Netflix documentary series, Harry and Meghan, the 41-year-old duchess said: "Harry’s dad is very charming, and I said to him like 'I’ve lost my dad in this', so him as my father-in-law was really important to me, so I asked him to walk me down the aisle and he said yes."

Elsewhere, Thomas says "it’s hard to say" if viewers are actually getting to see the real side of the Duchess of Sussex in the show.

"She’s an actor. She’s been acting her whole life, so it’s really hard to say what’s in her head," Thomas told Jono and Ben.

He also added that he believes the documentary – which Meghan and Prince Harry reportedly earned more than $100 million for - is "completely destroying any minuscule chance they had at making amends with the royal family."

Time will tell if that ends up being the case.
