The Wiggles' newest member Tsehay Hawkins tells Jono and Ben becoming Yellow Wiggle is 'dream come true'
The Wiggles are back in New Zealand touring around the country performing in front of new and old fans alike.
Jono and Ben caught up with the turtle-neck-wearing stars of the group, including Tsehay Hawkins the brand new Yellow Wiggle.
At just 16 years old, Jono and Ben wanted to find out if this gig is a dream come true for the teen.
"Definitely. Yes. I grew up watching The Wiggles on repeat," Tsehay explained. "It was always played around in the household.
"So I guess it makes singing and remembering the songs a lot easier because it's kind of like muscle memory, but it's definitely a dream come true to be performing as a Wiggle now."
"Touring and stuff has never been a part of my life. So getting used to that has been fun," Tsehay continued revealing how her life has changed since becoming the Yellow Wiggle.
"I love it. I love when everything's busy and crazy. So I'm having the best time."
But it turns out the teen is used to a busy schedule of juggling performing with school work.
"I went to a full-time dance studio, for most of my high school years,” she added. “So I did studying online and I danced like for seven days a week. So I'm pretty used to having a busy schedule. So this has been pretty easy to fit in."
Jono and Ben also asked the other Wiggles about their adult-only shows featuring the original Wiggles line-up … Plus what they think of Jono and Ben’s reworking of Big Red Car, to make it more eco-friendly. Listen to the full interview above.
