Paul Rudd reveals new Marvel Ant-Man movie has a 'real Kiwi flavour'
Paul Rudd is set to reprise his role as Scott Lang - AKA Ant-Man - in the new Marvel movie Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Ahead of its release this week, he caught up with Jono and Ben to share the inside scoop on what Kiwi fans can expect.
"I think it's got a real Kiwi flavour," Paul told Jono and Ben. "One of the things that actually Peyton Reed, the director of Quantumania, and I said like, 'oh, man, look what they did with [Thor:] Ragnarok (directed by Kiwi Taika Waitit). It's the third one. It surprised everybody by coming out with the one that just feels so different.Â
And we kept thinking about Ragnarok when we were making this one thinking, this one's going to be a little different than the first two."
Paul says he's also excited for fans to meet the Marvel Cinematic Universe's new big bad Kang the Conqueror - played by Jonathan Majors - for the first time in Quantumania.
"Kang the Conqueror is the biggest baddie we've ever seen. I think he's badder than Thanos. So it's kind of cool that Ant-Man is the one that's going to go up against him."
We can't wait to see their epic battle on screen, that's for sure! And luckily we don't have to wait long.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania hits New Zealand theatres on February 16.
