Kiwi icon Suzy Cato reads special The Hits edition of 'The Night Before Christmas'

The festive season is upon us, so of course Ben & Megan enlisted the help of beloved Kiwi icon Suzy Cato for a very special Christmas story.

Joining The Hits Breakfast, Suzy read aloud a Kiwiana version of The Night Before Christmas on air.

It was the night before Christmas, and all through the land, 
Dave Dobbyn was starting to warm up the band. 

Pavs in the oven, we’re prepping the kai

Doing a manu from up really high. 
Dad’s gone to the shops, in a mad Christmas dash 

I really hope the cops don’t find my stash

There’s treats out for Santa, some bikkies and beer

The in laws are knocking, pretend we’re not here

Santa’s done a burn out right through the sky
