Tauranga Police Searching For Good Samaritan - Do You Know This BOP Lady?

Tauranga Police are trying to trace a Good Samaritan who reportedly went to the aid of a girl in distress in Katikati yesterday morning (Wednesday, 12 August).

At approximately 8am, the 9-year-old girl was walking along Park Road, Katikati, on her way to school.

Police are speaking to the girl to get to the bottom of why she was distressed, but in the meantime she has advised that a woman stopped to assist and walked with her approximately 100 metres to the girl's school.

The woman is described as driving a gold-coloured vehicle and she left the area after dropping the girl at school.

Police urgently want to speak with this woman.

Police would also like to speak with any other member of the public who may have seen any incident of something of note in Park Road, Katikati, around 8am yesterday involving a young school girl.
