Earthquake felt in Tauranga

A magnitude 5.1 earthquake recorded 25 km south-west of Rotorua has been felt in Tauranga.
The earthquake struck at 6.47am this morning and was at a depth of 167 km.
GeoNet has logged felt reports from the quake all over the country, with those in the lower half of the North Island reporting strong shaking.
