Holiday Period Road Closures & Events -  December - January

26 December 2014 - 6 January 2015 - Evening Road Closures Mount Maunganui

The following roads will be closed from 8.00pm to 6.00am daily:

• Marine Parade from Adams Avenue to Pacific Avenue
• Adams Avenue from Marine Parade to Maunganui Road

31 December 2014 – 1 January 2015 - New Year’s Eve Road Closures

(Mount Maunganui)

The following road will be closed from 2.00pm Wednesday, 31 December 2014 until 8.00am Thursday, 1 January 2015:

All roads north from Grove Avenue and Salisbury Avenue will be closed however vehicle passes maybe used to gain access.

31 December 2014 – 1 January 2015 - New Year’s Eve Road Closures

(Tauranga CBD)

The following road will be closed from 5.00am Wednesday, 31 December 2014 until 8.00am Thursday, 1 January 2015:

A one way system will be in place on The Strand from Devonport Road to Hamilton Street northbound traffic only.

Brewers Bar (Newton Street, Soper Reserve)

No road closures are in place for this event but please be aware of pedestrian movements on Newton Street – between Hewletts Road and Hull Road

From 6.00am – 11.00pm

No road closures are in place for this event but please follow recommended detours if attending this event. Tauranga Race Course (Cameron Road)

Road Closure

Burrows Street – From Fourteenth Avenue to Fifteenth Avenue

From Saturday, 3 January 2015, From 10.00am until 1.00pm

Parade Route (Rolling Closure)

Burrows Street to Thirteenth Avenue, Thirteenth Avenue to Devonport Road, Devonport Road to Eleventh Avenue, Eleventh Avenue to Fraser Street, Fraser Street to Harvey Street, Harvey Street to Grace Road, Grace Road to Thirteenth Avenue, Thirteenth Avenue to Burrows Street.

8 January 2015 – Mount Maunganui - On the Lawn (Blake Park)

No road closures are in place for this event but please be aware of high pedestrian movements and speed restrictions on Maunganui Road between Hull Road and Hinau Street.
