While it's not unusual to see a cat roaming the streets of Varna, Bulgaria, a Black Sea resort town, one feline has caught the attention of passersbys. 

It's a vibrant emerald green!

The "green alien" has been roaming the streets for a year. At first, no one knew how the cat became such an unnatural color. It was first thought that someone had painted it as a cruel joke but then the truth was revealed.

The cat reportedly sleeps in an abandoned heap of synthetic green paint in a garage. People have been trying to catch the cat to give it a much needed bath, and to take it to the vet.
