Man Shot By Police In Paeroa

A man has died after police fired a shot during an incident in Paeroa this morning.
They were attending a private address in response to reports of someone being threatened with a machete.
The man allegedly threatened police with the weapon.
Police gave first aid to the man but he's died.
Any information about the dead man will not be released until next-of-kin have been informed.
